"The ABC's of Breeding" by Claudia Orlandi, PhD is a home study course book that breaks understanding canine genetics, and the part it plays in breeding healthy dogs with desirable breed traits, down to the simplest of terms. The SCA Education & Research Foundation, Inc. is underwriting the cost of this book to make it more affordable for our breeders.
At the end of the book is a exercise workbook. This work book will help the reader learn the key information on breeding, so it can be applied to a breeders' breeding program.
The American Kennel Club will send each breeder who completes the written exercises- a "Certificate of Completion".
If the reader wishes to send a copy of that Certificate to the Secretary, SCARF will post their name on our site as an acknowledgement that they have completed this home school course of study.
