New Website Launched...

Owning a Samoyed is an "unforgettable" life experience. This site is designed to provide owners, breeders and researchers with an overview of the unique nature, care and health issues of this ancient breed.

What appears to the viewer as a normal website is actually a content management system (CMS). This is the public level that is viewable to all. There is another private level, where all Foundation volunteers can upload, review and update the site content. As such, this site serves as a hub where the Foundation can provide the public with information, and as an internet platform, where the Foundation can conduct its business.

Using a CMS platform allows the Foundation to organize information in a manner that is easy for the viewer to navigate and also allows us to provide the viewer with current information by drawing on the help of many volunteers to manage a huge web site. This type of platform also provides a means by which the public can interact and participate in our collective efforts to maintain a good quality of life for our Samoyeds.

The purpose of this site is to be a starting point to understand the nature and complexities of a very ancient breed. Therefore, the site information has been organized to suit the selective needs and interests of owners, breeders and the research community.
  
As a hub for all health related activities and health issues related to Samoyed, the Foundation hopes to organize and collect information on our breed that has never been available for public review.

Such information will be very important to our owners, as they make health decisions for their Samoyeds, and at the same time, provide invaluable information to the research community to assist their efforts to find treatments and therapies for our breed.
